About Braketrax

Bridging Legacy and Modern Brake Testing

Braketrax is an R&D project developing and validating adaptive measurement technology for retrofit integration into existing roller brake tester infrastructure. The project is currently in the experimental development phase.
The Braketrax platform (DAS-882) is a functional hardware prototype under active development. Current research focuses on validating measurement performance across heterogeneous mechanical configurations in real-world environments.

Our History

At the end of the 1990s, many aging, partially broken pneumatic Roller Brake Testers were still in use, highlighting a shortage of reliable garage equipment. At the time, modern digital devices remained prohibitively expensive, creating a strong demand for refurbishment and innovation.

This need paved the way for the first version of a new, digital Roller Brake Tester. Today, Braketrax stands as the latest and most dependable evolution of that journey - a platform built for the future, without forgetting its proven roots.

About the Founder

My name is Srdjan Furman, electrical and computer engineer based in Vienna, Austria. Over more than 18 years I designed and maintained the EMS4 brake force measurement platform, deployed in over 150 officially certified vehicle inspection systems across Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. Braketrax is the continuation of that work - built on accumulated domain expertise, with a new hardware and firmware architecture designed for retrofit flexibility and modern measurement standards.
